Our goal has always been to provide our customers with cast iron products of the best possible quality, functionality and efficiency. To achieve that ambition, quality management systems have long played a vital role within TASSO.
ISO 14001
Our ISO 14001 certification certifies that we continuously perform environmental work that is competent, communicated and well-documented. Our ISO 14001 certification demonstrates our commitment to limiting our environmental impact by using this proven framework. The certifications support us in our continuous work with improving our environmental performance, including minimizing waste, improve energy efficiency, reduce number of incidents etc.

REACH
TASSO’s position on REACH describes how our processes ensure compliance with the European REACH regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals as well as similar regulation in our markets. The purpose of this regulation is to ensure high level protection of human health and the environment. This regulation enhances the industry’s responsibility to manage the risks from chemicals and to provide safety information on the substances present in various products.

RoHS
TASSO’s position on RoHS describes how our processes ensure compliance with the rules on restriction of hazardous substance in EU. The purpose of the European Union Directive on the Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) is to restrict the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
Conflict Minerals
TASSO’s position on Conflict Minerals describes how we exercise due diligence regarding the origin of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold (3TG materials) in our supply chain and processes. We encourage our suppliers to exercise reasonable due diligence in the evaluation of their supply chains for compliance with the Dodd-Frank Act and Conflict Minerals Rule.
EcoVadis
EcoVadis anses som verdens førende inden for sit område og er anerkendt for sine grundige og detaljerede analyser af virksomheders bæredygtighed baseret på en række forskellige kriterier inden for klima, miljø, arbejds- og menneskerettigheder, etik og indkøb. I 2023 har hele BIRN Group fået fornyet vores EcoVadis-certificering.
Resultatet af certificeringen er vurderet ud fra vores indsatser inden for henholdsvis E-, S og G-områderne, hvor vi inden for E-området blandt andet er lykkedes med at mappe vores affaldsstrømme, har trænet vores medarbejdere i forhold til energioptimering samt har forbedret energieffektiviteten via teknologi og opgraderinger af udstyr. På S-området har vi blandt andet gennemgået udstyr i forhold til sikkerhed samt indført tilbud om helbredstjek til medarbejderne.
På G-området har vi blandt andet etableret whistleblower-ordning og er blevet anerkendt for høj IT-sikkerhed.
