A workplace that takes care of its employees

I work in the die workshop, where I am responsible for making the dies in graphics. It is an exciting task that gives me both variety and challenge. I really appreciate the balance that exists between CNC machining and manually controlled machining. This makes the work both interesting and developing. Even though it is not hard physical work, it is important for me to be aware of taking care of myself, and luckily we have all the right aids to ensure a healthy working environment.

What really sets TASSO apart as a workplace is the fantastic social community. We help each other, and there is always a good atmosphere in the workplace. It means a lot to me to be part of a team where everyone is willing to support each other and where we have a good time together. In addition, the tasks are both interesting and varied, which means that I never get bored.

I applied for the job at TASSO because I had previously done an internship here during my education as an industrial technician. I got a really good impression of the company, and when I was looking for a job afterwards, it was therefore a natural choice for me to apply here. I haven't regretted it for a second – and in fact, I haven't had a single sick day since I started.

It is a workplace that really takes care of its employees, and that is something that means a lot to me. For example, I completed a smoking cessation course offered by the company, and it is just one of the many initiatives that make TASSO a workplace I want to stay at for many years.

I help make a difference

I work with quality control of the cast iron bars. This means that I take slices from the bars for hardness tests, tests for micro structureevaluation and tensile tests to ensure that the quality is top-notch. If we discover something that needs to be corrected, we react quickly and inform the foundry, for example, so that we can correct the production. Although my tasks may seem monotonous, they are never exactly the same. Every production is different, and we take samples from each production, which means that I am constantly challenged and gain new insights. I think it's really exciting to be part of that process and be able to contribute to ensuring that we deliver a proper product. It is also a great satisfaction to know that I can help make a difference.

One of the things I really appreciate about working at TASSO is the large interface I have. I am in daily contact with both the foundry, the machine department and other areas of the factory. It gives me a good overview of the entire production and makes my work both interesting and rewarding. It's rare that it's the same task I have to solve, and that makes the work exciting every day.

I applied for the job at TASSO because I have a background as a trained machinist with 20 years of experience. When I came to TASSO, I had the opportunity to get in the control department, where I can dive deeper into the material. You could say that I used to work with the outside of the cast iron, and now I work with the inside. It requires a great deal of knowledge in metaology, which I have continuously built up. It is always exciting to develop in an area you are interested in.

At TASSO there is a fantastic working environment and I am really happy to come to work every day. In addition to the exciting tasks, it is a pleasure to meet good and happy colleagues. It is a workplace where you feel comfortable and valued.

I vouch for what I do

I really like my work here at TASSO. Every day I go to work happy, and it is primarily because of the exciting tasks and the fantastic working environment. As a machinist, I process cast iron bars and work with various machines such as the milling machines. I think it's exciting to check the quality and hardness of the material – it gives me the feeling that I'm contributing to a proper and well-crafted product. I like to be able to vouch for what I do. Now that we are here, let's make an effort and make a proper product.

One of the things that motivates me the most is that we work together as a team. It is not only my responsibility, but we help each other, and we all take responsibility for getting the best result. I have had experience from the foundry and am often asked if I can help there when there is a lack of hands. I like the variety, and it makes me happy to be able to be flexible and help when I can.

When I first stepped into the foundry at TASSO, I was met with fair and good treatment by both the managers and my colleagues. I quickly felt at home in the environment and it has been a great pleasure to work here. It's a place where we really support each other, and it makes the whole working day more satisfying.

Good opportunities to develop

I have only worked for a short time at TASSO, but I have already got a really good impression of both the work and the workplace. My tasks are primarily about ladle transport, where I act as an intermediary between the melting and the casting plant. I make sure that production runs smoothly, and that's a task I really enjoy. In addition, I take samples of the cast iron quality to ensure that we always work with the right quality.

The best thing about working at TASSO is definitely the atmosphere between colleagues. We all come from different backgrounds, but there is room for all of us, and we help each other. If you have the courage to do so, there are also very good opportunities to develop. For example, I have already been asked if I want to be a trainer for new employees. I now have the opportunity to train new employees in ladle transport and ensure that we work according to the TWI principles and procedures .

I applied for the job at TASSO because I felt it was time to try something new. I have previously worked as a marketing economist and as an independent restauranteur, but I have always been open to new challenges.

At TASSO, we have a very good working environment with a strong team spirit. We help each other, and that's something I really appreciate. There is a strong focus on everyone feeling comfortable, and even though it may look like a raw environment, it is actually not as physically demanding as you might think. I actually think it would be good to have more women in the workplace, as it would definitely contribute positively to our team.

Employee Satisfaction Survey

Steve and the night shift boost both job satisfaction and productivity

Last year, Steve Sundekilde swapped the event industry for a job as team leader here at TASSO. And although trade fairs, concerts and conferences don't have much to do with red-hot liquid iron, the job change has been a great success, according to our latest employee satisfaction survey.
