Stress relieving heat treatment is used to minimize internal stresses in the structure of the material and thereby reducing the risk of dimensional changes during your processing or final usage.

Stress relieving is done in the temperature range of 500-650°C. This process is performed below the area of eutectoid transformation, ensuring that the microstructure and mechanical properties remain unchanged

Stress relieving can be carried out for both GJS- and GJL-grades upon request.

The annealing technique is applied to castings primarily to improve machinability by softening the material.
