BIRN Group, of which TASSO is a part, has just released the third annual sustainability report. Although the group is not yet subject to the new EU requirements for sustainability reporting, we are already working systematically with data and documentation of our efforts across climate and environment, social responsibility, and good governance.
One of this year’s key focus areas has been the development of a double materiality assessment, which provides a clear picture of both BIRN Group’s impact on the world and the world’s impact on the group. This is an important step toward an even more data-driven and targeted approach to sustainability across the entire organization.
- At TASSO, we fully support this shared ambition and continuously work on improving our own performance in line with the group’s goals – for the benefit of our customers, colleagues, and community. Among our latest efforts are the launch of product carbon footprint data on all products, expanded competence development initiatives, and a structured training system that ensures safe onboarding and consistently high quality, says Kristian Bundgaard Pedersen, Managing Director at TASSO.
For BIRN Group, energy and resource consumption remain some of the most significant environmental focus areas, while employee turnover, age distribution, and occupational health and safety are central to the social agenda.
