Price Position with TASSO New Index for Raw Material
After more than 20 years, The European Foundry Association (CAEF) have announced that they will no longer continue the publication of the Monthly Scrap Monitoring Index.
We have benchmarked and can hereby introduce TASSO New Index for raw material for manufacture of cast iron bar, as follows:
TASSO Index Definiton
50% BDSV Sorte 2/8
25% FEAF Scrap
25% FEAF Basic Ingot
Current Price position is based on October-November-December 2024 values:
CAEF Index: 450-443-441 equivalent to Tasso New Index: 417-415-410
As previously the trigger level for price adjustments is normally in the range of +/-30 points in the CAEF index and this range will be continued in TASSO New Index.
